Bulgarian properties boosted by EU entry
The Bulgarian property market has enjoyed a boost in UK interest following the announcement that the country is already joined the EU.
This was the opinion of a Global Property Hot Spots report released by currency exchange company HiFX, which looks into trends for Ukadians buying property abroad by assessing the month-by-month enquiries the company receives from those looking to exchange currency. The report revealed that the percentage of people looking to buy in Bulgaria had increased by 40 per cent in September over HiFX's August survey.
Bulgaria is one of Europe's fastest growing economics, and has a wide range of reasonably priced properties in mountain, seaside and city locations.
Derek Keith owner of Smarthomes Intl. said that "Globally Bulgaria compares very well and keeps going on growing. It is the combination of the competitive property market, beautiful mountains and beaches, very friendly and sincere people and the fact that everything you buy is still 'as cheap as chips', he went on to say, "the conversion rate of those visiting the quality developments in Bulgaria is very high with a high percentage of investors buying more that one property".
Certainly, the next months will be a busy time for Bulgaria's property market, with many new developments being launched to capitalise on the wave of interest. Once this wave breaks, the market will be characterised by a rising level of maturity, more resale properties and a greater emphasis on choosing wisely to realise the best returns...
